Volunteers Needed!

Each year Trains requires a large number of volunteers to make it work smoothly. Everything from setup, tear down, staffing entrance doors, model contests, etc. needs people to make it run. Please consider giving a few hours to help ease the burden on the other volunteers. As they say, "Many hands make light work". We have a list of jobs that need doing, together with an online form that you can use to submit your offer to help. Each "job" has a specific task description, along with the times needed.

Online Meet Registration Now Open

The online registration page is now available to register for the NMRA members Meet. The process is the same as last year's, with payment being accepted through PayPal, however you do not need to create a PayPal account to use the service. All you need is a major credit card.

Trains 2014 Planning Underway

Planning for this year's Trains Meet and Show is well underway. We will be sending out updates using the email Newsletter as well as posting news here on the web site. If you are not already on the Newsletter mailing list, and would like to be, please use the form at the boom of the page to enter your email address and sign up.

More details will be coming soon!

Trains 2013 a Success!

Trains 2013 is now history and was a great success by all accounts. Thanks to all who participated in the Trains 2013 show and meet, especially the volunteers who put in so many hours to make the show a success.

Please don't hesitate to share your opinion, whether you came or not, by using the online survey form, or by sending an email to the committee.

Layout Tours now expected back earlier

If anyone was hesitating to go on the escorted Layout Tours due to the late expected arrival back to Cameron, you might want to reconsider. After all of the details have been worked out, the expected time back to Cameron is now only 10:30 PM, due to the layouts being in the Coquitlam area and hence closer to the centre. There are still lots of seats available, so you can either use the online registration form or buy your ticket in person at Cameron.

Volunteer Offer

If you can volunteer some time during Trains to help out, please use this form to submit your selection of what you would like to do along with the time(s) and we will get back to you shortly.
Please remember to include either your e-mail address or your telephone number (or both) so that we can contact you.
If you are not sure which specific volunteer job is best suited to you, please use the Comments section to tell us more about what you would be willing to help with.
Thank you for helping make Trains 2014 a success!

Volunteers Needed!

Each year Trains depends on many people to make it happen. The committee members cannot possibly do everything, and we rely on a great group of volunteers each year to make the show a success. If you would like to help make the show a success, please offer a couple of hours of your time at the show to help out. A simple web form is available to make it easy to send in your offer. Please view the full Volunteers page (click "Read more") to see the various jobs needing to be filled.

E-mail Newsletter Started

We have started a simple e-mail based Newsletter to help keep everyone informed of changes as we count down the final few weeks before the show. Everyone that has registered and given an e-mail address will be added to the list automatically, however you can also just sign up on the web site using the simple form at the bottom of the main page. We promise that your e-mail addresses will not be used for any other purpose than to keep you informed about the Trains 2013 Show and Meet.

Public Show display registrations now closed

Space on the display floor has been filling up fast with great layouts, exhibitors and vendors, and is now full. As such we are not accepting any more registrations for these on the display floor.
If you would like to be added to a waiting list, please send a note to the Show Registrar

Past Show Videos

These are some links to videos that others have posted on YouTube about past Trains Shows. We would like to thank the people who have shot and posted these videos for all to see. Hopefully, these will give you a good idea of what the Public Show is all about.

Please note that these are links to videos that have been posted on YouTube by people who are not a part of the Trains committee, and as such the Trains Committee is not responsible for the content of these videos.
