Trains 2014 video

Video of the Trains 2014 public show has been added. You can view it     Here

Trains 2014 was a Success

Trains 2014 has come and gone. Overall we had a successful event. Public attendance was up 35% from last year -- 2700 people came out for the public show, including a large number of families with small children. The children had a blast looking at the trains, but especially interacting hands-on with the live-steam equipment, with Thomas the Tank Engine (electric HO), with lego and with Tom Stephenson’s awesome modular WTRAK (Brio-like) setup. Watching people leaving the venue I saw many many smiling faces (and some crying children who weren’t ready to leave).

Update sent out

An Update was just sent out our email subscribers with some noteworthy items.
You can read it here: http://us7.campaign-archive2.com/?u=1be54f70f572871274aac40d8&id=944f8cd38d

Silent Auction (New!)

New this year will be a silent auction with some significant items for sale. The auction will be open for bidding by both meet registrants and the public, however no items to sell will be accepted from the meet registrants nor the public.

Look for it near the Door Prize table and the announcers podium.

Volunteers Needed!

Each year Trains requires a large number of volunteers to make it work smoothly. Everything from setup, tear down, staffing entrance doors, model contests, etc. needs people to make it run. Please consider giving a few hours to help ease the burden on the other volunteers. As they say, "Many hands make light work". We have a list of jobs that need doing, together with an online form that you can use to submit your offer to help. Each "job" has a specific task description, along with the times needed.

Online Meet Registration Now Open

The online registration page is now available to register for the NMRA members Meet. The process is the same as last year's, with payment being accepted through PayPal, however you do not need to create a PayPal account to use the service. All you need is a major credit card.

Trains 2014 Planning Underway

If you are not already on the Newsletter mailing list, and would like to be, please use the form at the boom of the page to enter your email address and sign up.

More details will be coming soon!
